On Jan 1, 2015, our homeowner association began charging a 10% annual penalty for association dues delinquent more than 60 days. Authority to assess this penalty is provided in Association Bylaws, Article XI and by the Code of Virginia, Sec. 55-513.3. Until now Association Boards have not utilized this provision. But with costs to the organization increasing and significant dues payments outstanding, the Board concluded the time had come to enforce the penalty.

Association dues are currently assessed at $150/household annually. Payments may be made by installments with $75 due on July 1 and January 1.
